Like many other stories in Elizabeth’s life, the story of her and Nick began with a horse. In 2018, Elizabeth was coming home from a competition when her horse, Fritz, got a little too excited and broke the trailer doors open on the highway. After a white knuckle drive back to the farm (involving a few choice words), Elizabeth decided to leave her trailer, and bring it home the following day.
Jared, Elizabeth’s cousin and Nick’s friend, brought her to pick up the trailer. What Jared didn’t tell Elizabeth, was that he would be bringing Nick along for the ride. A few weeks later the two began dating.
After about five years it was time for the couple to begin looking at purchasing their first home, and they instantly knew no place would match up to the small farm Elizabeth’s grandparents own. Excitement bubbled as they began dreaming of ways to make the property their own. It was during a spring afternoon that the couple was clearing brush on the property with Jared, that Nick decided to get on one knee and the infamous “10 Year Plan” ended early.
Today, they couldn’t be more happy to share their special day with those who mean the most and have been an important part of their journey together.
